Passing The Torch

Amidst the room of the SRC a group of scholars come together to elect who will lead NHS. The previous leaders are graduating this year and need to pass on their authority to a new group of leaders. The possible new leaders would come up to the front of the room one by one, convincing all of the National Honor Society why they would be great leaders. But there are limited spots in the leaders table, so the stakes were high, but everyone was determined to make a statement.

Once the elections were finished, the official new leaders were appointed soon after. Once it was posted all of NHS knew that Jacob Newman was the new NHS president and Kobe Williams was the new vice president. Other spots included Dylan Smith as secretary, Adam Kleoppel as treasurer, Finn Evans as historian, and Ryan Toomey as recording secretary.

All of the leaders were decided through other members of NHS. It went through a voting process, where every student in NHS voted one person per role. This way is fool proof and many members of NHS like Campbell McNulty think that the voting went well and "all the roles were fulfilled perfectly." The new wave of NHS leaders are all very capable, and the next year to come when they officially start their roles will be extremely smooth.
