O’Dea Golf Wins Big Over Eastside

SEATTLE - Irish golf secured a big win, 140-120, over Eastside Catholic on Monday, September 15th, at Jackson Park Golf Course. 

Senior John Pokorny led the charge with a two-over par round of thirty-eight.  

Senior Bennett Smoltz shot a three over part (39) along with freshman Matthew Fischer, who also shot a three over (39) improving upon his score of ten over (47) from the first match. 

 The temporary greens gave some unforeseen challenges, but the Irish pushed through with the top six scoring players shooting a 41 or better. 

 The golf team takes on the Franklin Quakers next on Thursday, September 18^th.  

The Irish are looking to improve on an already strong start to the season.
