SEATTLE - After the O’Dea golf team’s promising 1-0-1 start, they traveled to Jackson Park on Thursday, September 15th to take on a tough Eastside Catholic Crusaders team, taking the win 140-120.

The Fighting Irish were led by senior John Pokorny who led the pack with a score of 38 (+2) followed by senior Bennett Smoltz and freshman Matthew Fischer who both shot a 39 (+3) all on newly aerated greens.

The Fighting Irish played great overall, having all participants shooting under bogey golf. After multiple seasons of not beating the Crusaders, it shows as a telling sign in the Fighting Irish’s improvement this offseason.
Next up for the Irish on Thursday, September 18th are the Franklin Quakers at Bill Wright Golf complex.
