O'Dea invites everybody to the brotherhood because we want to make sure everyone has good mental health. There are a lot of pressures that affect students' mental health. During our most recent Brotherhood Block, we took the time to talk about all the pressures that students face on a daily basis.

One challenge we face at O'Dea when it comes to student pressures is social media. This is an important factor in the daily life of a student because it's how they meet new people outside of O'Dea and how they present themselves to others outside of the community.

Transportation is also a big pressure on some students because our students here at O'Dea come from a wide range of towns in Washington, which causes transportation to be a daily pressure for our students.

Higher standards are a big pressure as well for O'Dea students because the community holds us to a higher standard than other students. The reason for this is because O'Dea has a reputation of making real gentleman through respect, character, faith, and service.

Finally, we also discussed the pressure of academics like having good grades for athletics if you play a sport or if you just want to have good grades to get into a good college. Overall, everyone at O'Dea faces different pressures, but by helping each other every day and being aware of those pressures, we can push through and succeed together.
