The night after Halloween, when everyone has eaten their candy, it is a time to reflect on the lives of the saints. Our whole school gathered as one brotherhood to reflect on the past lives of the saints.

On Wednesday November 1st our whole school gathers for our annual All Saints Mass. This Mass is important to or community as we gather to hear Father Ryan in prayer. The mas is dedicated for all martyrs who died at the hands of their Roman persecutors. That is the reason this mass happens and it’s a great time to gather as one Brotherhood.

As the mass went on Father Ryan read in his homily about saints in our past and their past life. We reflected as one brotherhood in prayer and communion. In his reading, he expressed the value of loving our loved ones and the people who can no longer be with us. After he had done this our school reflected in prayer and listen to the band sing their peaceful music as everyone came up for communion.

After all this being said we had a brave student in our brotherhood by the name of Lorenzo Neri '24 who spoke to us about his faith and his attending World Youth Day in front of the whole school. "I pray that you get a chance to experience World Youth Day once in your lifetime," Neri said. "It's not only a gathering event but an opportunity to reflect and renew one's faith." Lorenzo Neri made a major impact on our school community with what he had said and got everyone's attention at mass.

We wrapped the mass up in in prayer and Dean dismissed us out in silence by house back to O'Dea. This mass was a blessed opportunity for our community and a great reflection for our staff and students as we remembered ones no longer with us this day.
