Today and other days mark transition days for kids from middle school, and them deciding on high schools. Everyone tells a different story, and the story I'll be telling is the story of Ryan Phillips II '24.

Coming from Risdon Middle School in the Renton Highlands, his parents wanted a great school with academnic value. They decided that O'Dea was a great fit, and his dad knows a lot of staff within these halls, which ensured familiarity. With graduation around the corner, he's come to value the varsity sports here, and the connections that come with. Sports here are a tradition and a huge point of social networking, providing the memories he holds dearest to his heart.

When he goes to college, he's going to be an example in the community of Arizona State University, and he wants to be a leader in the community as he goes for an undergraduate degree in piloting, and plans to help the less fortunate alone the way. These are a strong set of values to carry as he attends with lots of his friends, and we wish him nothing but the best along his journey into college. Good luck Ryan!
