I was lucky enough to ask my O'Dea brother Jacob Turla some questions about himself and his time at O'Dea. Jacob came to O'Dea because it was the best fit for him and because his friends also went to O'Dea. Jacob's favorite part about O'Dea is his laid-back relationship with his teachers, as well as all his brothers. He says that it's easy to get along with people and find people with similar interests. Growing up he fostered his passion for sports, digital media, family, and God. Jacob wants to pursue sports broadcasting, or real estate in college. Jacob wants to pursue sports broadcasting in college because it is something he has been passionate about his whole life.

Jacob's faith journey begun at his elementary school of Our Lady of Guadalupe in West Seattle. Jacob's faith has helped him with his journey through his hardships in life and led him to being a better person.

I asked what he would do if he had three to four hours of free time and he said he would spend his time sleeping, playing Fortnite, watching sports, watching TikTok, and playing with his dog. Jacob also spends much of his free time working at his job at the Nordstrom Rack. Jacob is a great example of what a dedicated and energetic O'Dea student looks like.
