SEATTLE, Sept. 11, 2025  On September 11th, O'Dea High School’s football team played against their rivals, Rainier Beach at SWAC. O'Dea won the game 31–16 in a tough physical match. This game was one to remember as Monte Kohler surpassed Sid Otton for the highest school wins in Washington state with 395 wins.

The game started at 7 p.m. on a cool evening in West Seattle—perfect weather for football. Sophomore J’shaun Wilson ran for 100 yards and scored two important touchdowns, helping O'Dea get ahead early. Ray Clark also had a great game, running 75 yards and scoring a touchdown.

O'Dea’s defense played very well in the second half, stopping Rainier Beach from scoring and causing several turnovers. This big win adds to Coach Kohler’s amazing record as one of the best high school coaches in Washington.

O'Dea will try to keep up this good play when they face Seattle Prep on Friday, September 19, at West Seattle Stadium.
