Dear 15-Year-Old Me,
Right now, you are walking into high school thinking about one thing only- becoming a quarterback.
You picture yourself throwing touchdowns under the lights, hearing the crowd cheer your name, and leading the offense every Friday night. You truly believe that is where you belong.
Football has always been your dream, and QB feels like the perfect position for you. But things are not going to go the way you planned.
Instead of getting the chance to stay at quarterback, the coaches are going to move you to offensive line.

At first, you are going to hate it. You will feel frustrated, disappointed, and even a little embarrassed. You will question yourself and wonder why all the work you put into being a quarterback did not matter.
Watching other players get opportunities at the position you wanted will hurt, and there will be moments when you feel like giving up.
What you do not realize yet is that this change is going to help shape who you become.
Playing offensive line will teach you discipline, toughness, and how to work for something bigger than yourself.
Unlike quarterbacks, offensive linemen rarely get the spotlight, but every successful play depends on them. You are going to learn how important it is to trust the process, even when things are not going your way.
The biggest surprises will come later. After waiting for your chance and continuing to work hard every day, you will finally become a starter on the offensive line.
Instead of letting your disappointment control you, you will use it as motivation. You will push yourself in practices, in workouts, and during games until people begin to notice your effort and skill.
By the end of your first year starting, all the hard work will pay off. You will earn All-Metro second Team honors, something you never imagined when you first got moved from quarterback.

In that moment, you will realize that success does not always come from following the exact path you planned.
Sometimes the unexpected path turns out to be the one that helps you grow the most.
So, keep believing in yourself. Keep working, even when things feel unfair. One position will never define your value, and the challenges you face now will become part of your success story later.
Sincerely, Your Older Self
