Jeremiah Nonu has been working hard to come back to track after hurting his ankle, and it has not been easy at all. Before he got hurt, he was moving fast and always helped his team. He loved running, doing shot put, doing discus, and being out there with everyone. But after the injury, things changed for him. He couldn’t run the same, and he had to sit out. Jeremiah said, “My ankle has really affected me from not playing out there and not helping the team.” You can tell it really bothers him not to play.

His ankle still hurts when he runs. Sometimes it feels weak, and sometimes it just aches even when he’s not doing much. When he tries to push off the ground, it doesn’t feel strong. That slows him down, and it makes him upset because he knows he used to be better. He wants to be back to normal, but it takes time.
Even though it’s hard, Jeremiah keeps trying. He goes to rehab, does his stretches, and works on getting stronger. It’s not fun, and it takes a lot of patience, but he keeps doing it because he wants to get better. He also said, “But it is a good thing because it gives me time to rehab before I go to football at Nevada.” He knows fixing his ankle now will help him later when he plays football.

Jeremiah is not fully back yet, but he keeps showing up. His times are slower, and he doesn’t feel strong, but he’s not quitting. He wants to help his team again, and he wants to feel like himself again. His comeback might take a while, but he’s pushing through it.
Jeremiah’s story shows that even when things go wrong, you can keep trying and not give up.
