SEATTLE - The O’Dea Fighting Irish fired off a dominating victory 56-14 over the West Seattle Wildcats on October 23, 2025, stamping their authority in the Metro League and energizing the O’Dea community with a standout performance.

O’Dea started off a little rocky with 2 fumbles from Uriah Stringfield but then the Irish started heating up. A key moment came when O’Dea blocked a field goal, and junior Ray Clark scooped up the ball and raced into the red zone, setting up junior fullback Max Speller for an easy touchdown. That play swung momentum firmly in O’Dea’s favor and fired up the home crowd.

Sophomore running back Jayshawn Jordan powered the offense early, scoring two touchdowns in the first half. His quick burst through the middle and ability to break tackles gave the Wildcats defense constant problems. Behind strong blocking from the O’Dea offensive line, Jashaun’s early success opened the passing game and kept the tempo high.

In the air, O’Dea’s freshman quarterback Allias Moimoi stayed composed, delivering crisp throws to senior Lio Banchero for the touchdown, keeping West Seattle’s defense off balance throughout. Although the Wildcats showed flashes of offense, including a late second-quarter touchdown, the Fighting Irish defense quickly answered, tightening coverage, forcing stops, and maintaining control.

“The defense started showing up the second half” Zion Moimoi said, “showing some promise, but there is room to get better”.

The win moves O’Dea to 7-1 on the year, marking their seventh straight victory and strengthening their playoff position. West Seattle, meanwhile, suffered its first loss of the season, dropping to 6-1.

For O’Dea students, parents, and alumni, the win was more than just a score. It was a statement of O'Dea's depth. As the regular season winds down, the Fighting Irish look poised to make a strong postseason push. Driven by balanced offense, relentless defense, and a squad with beautiful team chemistry, that defines championship football.
