Have you ever heard of SAFE club at O'Dea high school? If so, do you know how the club benefits the school? SAFE is no regular club at O'Dea. The club touches on different action items that they believe are influential to the well-being and happiness of the students every time they meet.

One of the members of the club is O'Dea's very own school captain, Kyle Lofy. Kyle is a senior at O'Dea in the class of 2024 and contributes to SAFE club. Lofy says there are no true leadership positions in the club and everyone gets involved when the club meets.

Although there are no leadership positions, Lofy makes himself flexible for meetings and tries to be as much of a leader as he can. "I am always happy & flexible to plan meetings and be as much of a leader as I can," Lofy stated. "Every time we meet, we touch on different action items that we believe are influential to the well-being and happiness of the students of O'Dea."

The club meets outside of school a few times every year. Last year the club had a family connectedness night in the SRC at O'Dea where parents came to learn about how they can be more connected to the school community.
