In the heart of spirited competition and the echoing cheers of dedicated fans, O'Dea's basketball court recently became the battleground for a series of exhilarating matchups that showcased the talent and determination of our high school's house basketball teams. With four games played the four houses battled for the title of house basketball champion. Dublin and Waterford played in their half-court match for the semi finals ending with a shootout leading to Waterford eventual victory. Kilkenny and Limerick battled it out on the other side of the gym in a semi-final match also leading to a shootout ending with Limerick on top.

The final game between Limerick and Waterford was a close game for the first 5 minutes. By two minutes Limerick was up 8-4. They gave Waterford a chance to catch up but stayed ahead. With 8 seconds left the last point was scored making the game 12-6. The decisive victory was one to remember due to this being Limerick's first win in a while. The games offered students a time to get away from the school stress and enjoy watching sports together. This was a big win for Limerick and adds to their house point total
