From classroom to the sea, Will Morton '24, seeks to pursue his dreams of commercial fishing. I got the chance to sit down with him and talk about his passions as well as his experience at O'Dea Highschool.

Throughout the years, Will has enjoyed many things at O'Dea, but his favorite was business class. He stated that Mr. LeDorze creates a great environment for learning and presents quality materials for class. Will has many passions outside of school, but his favorite is fishing. If he is not at school or playing video games, you can find him at the Pier with a fishing pole.

Will wants to pursue a career in commercial fishing. He finds being on a boat to be his home. If he had 4 hours of free time, he would spend it fishing by himself of with his friends. Will says, "fishing brings a kind of calmness that nothing else can imitate." The biggest fish he has ever caught was a 600-pound marlin off the coast of Florida. That is just one of Will's many big accomplishments as a fisherman.

Next year, Will is going to Colorado State University. There he will continue to follow his passion of fishing as well as be a role model for other students with the things he has learned at O'Dea.
