As finals week gripped O'Dea high school, a wave of emotions painted the hallways and the atmosphere was charged with a blend of nervous energy and determination. In the days leading up to the final exams you can see students individually studying or getting extra help from their teacher. The collective level of focus inside the school during the week was unmatchable everyone is helping each other with different things, and it shows how the brotherhood is still embedded in us even during stressful times.

During the actual exams, I interviewed Joey Meats '24, and he had a brief explanation on why students at O'Dea seem to bond more during Finals week. "During my almost four years at O'Dea I didn’t notice how Finals week affected the students, but after Covid when we came back to school my first experience with finals was cool because the older kids would help me with studying for Spanish and other classes during Mentor Group and also in Irish block," said Meats.

As the Final week concluded, the hallways transformed into a mix of relief and anticipation. Despite the stress, there was an underlying camaraderie among O'Dea students, a shared experienced that strengthened their connection and left them looking forward to a well-deserved break.
