The Fighting Irish got the dub over West Seattle High School. It was kinda tough at first, they was throwing fast passes and we had trouble stopping it. But our D-line and secondary locked in and started shutting it down.

Offense didn’t start good. Uriah Stringfield fumbled twice early, and it was looking rough. But after halftime we got it together. Lio Banchero had a crazy 95-yard touchdown that got everybody hyped. Then Peyton Egan and Uriah came back and scored some nice touchdowns. Max Speller was going off too, making big blocks and getting 5 to 10 yard runs that helped us move the ball.

Defense was going crazy. Timo Sousou had some big tackles for loss, and Keelan Thomas and Fa Siale was in the backfield all game putting pressure. They made it hard for West Seattle to do anything.

It was a team win for sure. We had some mistakes but we kept fighting and didn’t give up. The Irish showed heart and came out on top.

It was sad I couldn’t be on the field with the seniors, but I’m happy they got to play their final time at West Seattle Stadium with a moment they won’t forget. Max Philips said it best: “We left everything out there — this game meant everything to us.”
